Objectives of the position: To promote a positive impression of the Blue Ridge Pregnancy Clinic as an Ambassador of Jesus Christ by assisting those making contact via email, phone, chat, in person, or through other means. The Clinic Coordinator is the first point of contact between the public and the Center. As such, the person in this role conveys the principals and ideals of the Blue Ridge Pregnancy Center with excellence and professionalism. In addition, this position supports the smooth functioning of the center by assisting with administrative and clerical tasks. The Clinic Coordinator displays a heart of compassion toward clients in their time of need, while being professional and comfortable greeting anyone who enters our doors.

Reports to: Patient Services Coordinator (and Nurse Manager as appropriate)

Status: Non-Exempt, Full-time (32 hours/week)

Objectives of the position: As an ambassador of Jesus Christ, the Patient Services Coordinator shall oversee the daily activities of the Danville Clinic for serving in various departments, as it pertains to the central mission of providing peer counseling and support to patients dealing with an unexpected pregnancy. This Coordinator shall serve in and oversee the daily patient activities of the Clinic and recruit, train and maintain volunteer advocates for serving in various departments of the Clinic. The Patient Services Coordinator is also equally trained to be a peer counseling-advocate or back-up Clinic Coordinator as needed.

Reports to: The Patient Services Coordinator is accountable to and under direct supervision of the Patient Services Director and Executive Director of the Blue Ridge Pregnancy Center in Lynchburg and works closely with the Danville Nurse Manager, Clinic Coordinator, and Men’s Engagement Coordinator to ensure the highest quality of patient and patient care.

Status: Non-Exempt, Full-time (32 hours/week)

A Patient Advocate is the backbone of our work at the clinic and requires you to meet with our patients, assess their immediate needs, share the Gospel, and present them with their options in a loving and nonjudgemental way. You will be required to complete our training and we ask that our advocates commit to one appointment time on any day that they can volunteer. This allows you to see a minimum of 1 patient/week, and helps us to schedule appointments and keeping track of who comes in when. Appointment times generally run about 2 hours, so it ends up being about a 3 hour commitment/week minimum. For any questions, please reach out to julie@blueridgepc.org.

As an ambassador of Jesus Christ, the Male Advocate provides Christ-centered support to men and couples facing pregnancy-related decisions while encouraging responsible fatherhood and life-affirming choices. The Male Advocate serves as a peer mentor, provides practical support and education, recruits and encourages male volunteers, and helps advance the mission of Blue Ridge Pregnancy Center through compassionate, confidential client care. Reports to: The Male Advocate serves under the direct supervision of the Director of Men’s Engagement and Media and works collaboratively with the Patient Services team.

Status: Volunteer

Objectives of the position: As an ambassador of Jesus Christ, the Men’s Engagement Coordinator provides support for Blue Ridge Pregnancy Center’s ministry to men by developing meaningful relationships with fathers, expectant fathers, and male partners while equipping volunteers to do the same. This position helps coordinate all men’s engagement initiatives, including client services, volunteer recruitment and development, fatherhood education, church partnerships, community outreach, and the Noble Pursuit men’s program.

Accountability: The Men’s Engagement Coordinator serves under the direct supervision of the Director of Men’s Engagement and Media and works collaboratively with the Patient Services team.

Supervises: All male volunteer staff assisting the program through both the Medical Center and Life Center

Status: Volunteer

Mommy Mentorship is a program designed to continue the relationship beyond the patient’s initial appointment with us. Through a video curriculum, mentors can build relationships with our clients as you sit with them, engage in their lives and challenge them spiritually.
